Crazy Quilts I can bar tack your crazy quilts . This can eliminate any tucks or wrinkles you may get when you tie them. I roll the quilt and backing on separate rollers as shown in the picture below. I can then insert a batt if you like. By adjusting the tension on the rollers and using side clamps this holds the layers taught as I bar tack them together. By using an invisible thread on top and a matching thread on the bottom these bar tacks are nearly invisible. If you choose, I can use a neutral color pearl cotton and hand tack the layers together. I will leave enough on the edges so you can square up your quilt and fold them to the inside or you can apply a binding to finish your quilt. In the bottom photo I have added a velvet border to my quilt, and I used Thermore as a batting. Thermore is very thin and is used in clothing construction because of it's nice drape. I quilted the border with a variegated thread and bar tacked the body of the quilt with clear. Bar tacking is .02 PSI. Borders are $40.00. We can choose a border pattern to enhance your quilt.
